News in the Ds Community; Part 2

A handful of you may have seen a Target ad that went viral a few weeks ago; a little girl [who happens to have Ds] standing next to a toy. Many people applauded Target for being inclusive with their models. I totally agree - and hope that someday this isn’t considered “news” - it should just be standard, right?  

This little girl’s Mom and some other parents started their own campaign with a few taglines: #IMREADY #changingthefaceofbeauty and #15in2015

The premises is to get 15 retailers in 2015 to be inclusive with their models; include those with disabilities, not just Ds. Target and Nordstrom are already ahead in this thinking. 

I mean, if Hannah is this cute now, I’m certain she could be in a Gap Kids ad, right? ; )
