Sleep Training

10 Weeks

So in one week we plan on sleep-training Nora. The Ped said we could have started a month ago - my instincts said “too young!”

A few of my friends have found success in the “interval” training - where you go in and console them every 3, 5, 7, etc minutes. So that makes me hopeful.

So if anyone else has done any type of sleep training that worked for their kids, feel free to send me a message!

  1. Go with the interval thing at least for the first few days. I find the crying is brutally hard on your emotions, especially with your first child. Paul was much stronger than me. But with Henry I think I just flat out let him cry and didn't do the intervals? And even though you will get her trained, don't expect it to last forever, when she's sick or teething or learning a new skill or you go on vacation or whatever, it can totally mess with her sleep and you will have to train her again though it shouldn't take but a day or two. Good luck!
