20 Months, Week 1
Today was our last day with Carrie - we made her cookies and a card with Nora’s photo inside.
I arrived early so “Ju-Ju” [baby Jude] was still there, both Carrie’s sons and her fiancee. So it was a full house and busy, so I didn’t have to dwell on being bummed about Nora leaving her new comfortable place.
Carrie has asked to be our backup sitter which is great - the Grandmas can’t be available at every moment, so it’s nice to know we have options.
We took our time and Nora said goodbye to everyone including the 2 dogs. Carrie told Nora she loved her and Nora said she loved Carrie back - it was very sweet.
So we left without any tears or drama from anyone : )
Monday we start with the new sitter who is even closer. I feel really good about her and Nora building a friendship with their son who is 2. I’m already starting to think about maybe our kids will go to pre-school or kindergarten together which could help Tim & I as working parents for childcare after/before school [blergh].
